About us.

At Curt’s Locksmith’s, locksmithing isn’t just our job—it’s our family’s history.

Our story began with Curtis Kitelinger, a Korean War Veteran who mastered the craft through the dedicated study of correspondence mail. In an era before digital tutorials, he waited by the mailbox for every lesson, meticulously practicing each technique until he became a master of security. He later opened his first location at the corner of Oak and St. Lawrence in Beloit, WI.

That same dedication was passed directly to his son-in-law Alan McCauley who over the years has mentored locksmith business owners in Beloit, Loves Park, and Stoughton and to his son William McCauley.

Today, we carry his name and his philosophy forward. Whether you’re locked out of your car or upgrading your business’s security, you’re getting service backed by decades of traditional knowledge and a commitment to the craft that started with a single letter.

We’re proud to keep Curt’s legacy—and your property—safe and sound.
